Q1 2024 Performance of Top Consumer Finance Apps on Android in Brazil

Brazil's consumer finance application landscape has seen varied performance across the top contenders in the first quarter of 2024. Here's a snapshot of how the leading apps fared on the Android platform, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Nubank: conta, cartão e mais started the quarter with a strong download figure of nearly 800K, peaking at over 1M in mid-February before a slight decline to around 665K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw an upward trend, starting at roughly 40M and reaching about 42M by the quarter's close.

PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix showed consistency in downloads, hovering around the mid-300K mark, with a noticeable peak at nearly 400K in mid-March. The weekly active users for PicPay experienced a rise from approximately 11M to over 11.6M in early March, before dipping slightly to just under 11M by the quarter's end.

CAIXA, the app from Caixa Econômica Federal, witnessed a steady download pattern starting at over 260K and climbing to approximately 329K. Its active users fluctuated, starting at around 10.9M, dipping to 10.2M mid-quarter, and closing off slightly higher at around 10.2M.

Mercado Pago: cuenta digital maintained download numbers in the mid to high 200K range throughout the quarter. This app saw a steady increase in weekly active users, starting at about 9M and nearing the 10M mark by the end of March.

Lastly, Santander Brasil showed a fluctuating download trend, starting the quarter at around 170K, peaking at nearly 201K, and then descending to about 151K. Active users remained fairly stable, hovering around the 10M mark throughout the quarter.
